With the theme of "Horticultural technologies for nutrition security and income generation" the Ninth National Horticulture Workshop-2017 was organized by Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC), Horticulture Research Division (HRD) from 31 May to 1 June, 2017 in Khumaltar, Lalitpur. The workshop was held for two days consisting of inaugural session, technical sessions and finally the closing session. It was inaugurated by the Chief Guest & Executive Director of NARC, Dr. Y. R. Pandey. The inauguration session was chaired by Dr. Y. P. Giri, Director, Crop & Horticulture Research, NARC. The workshop gave a strong forum for presenting different technologies and research findings obtained from the field and lab-oriented research along with discussion and interaction. Based on adequate and appropriate research performed for minimum two seasons, over 50 scientific papers have presented on vegetables, fruits, potatoes, flower, spices and plantation crops including four special thematic papers.
