Three day Monitoring of the Multinational Hybrid maize trial was jointly organized by National Maize Research Program(NRMP), Rampur, Chitwan and Seed Quality Control Centre(SQCC), Kathmandu. The monitoring was dated from Baisakh 12-14, 2079.
Crop and Horticulture Director, NARC, Dr Keshab Babu Koirala; Chief of the SQCC, Mr Benu prasad Prasai, Coordinator of NMRP, Mr Chitra Bahadur Kunwar; Mr. Keshab Prasad Shrestha, Director of Directorate of Agricultural Research, Province 1, Tarahara and Dr. Bisheshor Prasad Yadav, Director of Directorate of Agricultural Research, Madhesh Province, Parwanipur, and scientists and technical officer from different research stations, SQCC, representatives from the Multinational Hybrid Company observed the multinational hybrid maize trial.
Monitoring of the trial started from NMRP, Rampur, Chitwan on the first day. On the following day, the team headed to the Directorate of Agricultural Research, Parwanipur. Monitoring was concluded at Directorate of Agricultural Research, Tarahara. The monitoring team will select the better performing varieties for seed production in the next year.
