Chief at the National Agricultural Technology Information Centre (12 July 2023 to date) after successful tenure as the Director at the Directorate of Agricultural Research, Lumle (2 September 2020 to 11 July 2023). Senior Scientist (S-4) with 27 years of experience on horticultural crop research at Nepal Agricultural Research Council. Publication record (82) with 29 journal papers, 41 proceeding papers and 12 Nepali books and booklets. Primarily focused on potatoes, cucumber, tomatoes and other vegetable crops, seed systems, some fruit crops, intercropping, varietal selection, organic amendments in soil, climate change and post-harvest research. Led to recommend for release of potato variety 'Khumal Vikash' from National Potato Research Program and 3 varieties of Gladiolus flower (Lumle Gladiolus 1, Lumle Gladiolus 2 and Lumle Gladiolus 3) from Directorate of Agricultural Research, Lumle; on behalf of the research teams. Significant achievements in verifying and disseminating plastic house technology for off-season vegetable production in western Nepal since 2001. Experienced in managerial role with financial arrangements, human resource management, team management, physical resource management and overall resource mobilization. Significant involvement in multidisciplinary research. Trainer for the farmers, extension workers and technical students; and co-supervisor of some graduate and PhD students.
