Honorable minister, Dr. Bedu Ram Bhusal (Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development) visited Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) central office at Khumaltar, Lalitpur on 10 April 2023 (27 Chaitra 2079). In his speech, Honorable minister Dr. Bhusal said that the amendment in NARC act and other strategies document will be made, if necessary for effective research activities. He also added to facilitate the programs and plans of NARC as a chairperson in coming days. Minister was welcomed by the Executive Director of NARC, Dr. Deepak Bhandari, directors and other NARC staffs. Executive Director (ED) of NARC Dr. Deepak Bhandari had presented the overall status of NARC, its contributions in Nepalese agriculture, opportunities, problems of research council and way forward for the overall development of agriculture through agriculture research.
During his visit, Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (Livestock) Dr. Deepak Kumar Kharal and Secretary (Agriculture) Dr. Govinda Prasad Sharma were present. Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development is the chairman of Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC).
